After another fascinating weekend of racing in GP3 at the start of September in Monza, the series heads to Sochi for round seven of the 2015 championship. Luca Ghiotto currently sits first in the drivers’ championship, 14 points ahead of Esteban Ocon and a further 30 points ahead of Marvin Kirchhöfer.

For its second visit to Russia, drivers will use the medium tyre compared to the soft in 2014. Last year saw Koiranen GP’s Dean Stoneman won race one after taking pole position by half a second. Patric Niederhauser took victory in race two ahead of Stoneman.

In terms of driver changes, Konstantin Tereschenko will make his GP3 debut for Campos Racing alongside Alex Palou and Zaid Ashkanani.

Tyre wear at the Sochi Autodrom is expected to be low due to the non-abrasive and very smooth surface.
