Rosberg quickest in FP3 as practice cut short

Nico Rosberg set the pace in final practice for the Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi Autodrom.

The session was cut short by 15 minutes after Carlos Sainz crashed his Toro Rosso at turn 13. The red flag was deployed and the session was ended as the Spaniard was seen to by medical staff and marshalls.

Williams led the way for majority of the session as they ran with low-fuel. Bottas ended FP3 second fastest while Massa was fifth.

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton finished third fastest ahead of Force India’s Sergio Perez.

The FIA have confirmed Carlos Sainz is conscious and is currently being transported to the medical centre for further checks.
