Jarno Trulli will take to the cockpit in the upcoming Putrajaya ePrix after the team owner confirmed his contracted race driver Salvador Duran was in ‘breach of contract’.

An article published by Motorsport.com last night confirmed the news in an interview with Trulli, although details of the breach haven’t been disclosed. While the veteran Italian is subbing for his contracted driver this weekend, he is optimistic it will be resolved for the next ePrix in Punta de Este and doesn’t expect it to be a regular occurrence. Having missed the Beijing ePrix two weeks ago, the last minute driver change doesn’t count towards the new two per season rule.

Having only completed a handful of laps so far this season in testing, and missing the whole of the Beijing round after their engine was stuck in customs, the team are hoping to run as normal this weekend. They didn’t take part in the shake down session on Friday.
