Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost says he expects Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz to remain at the team for the 2016 season.
The two rookies have impressed in their debut F1 seasons and team boss Franz Tost is happy with both of their performances in 2015.
“If the team is on the starting grid then I consider that both of them will be the drivers of Toro Rosso because so far they have done a very good job and of course we want to keep them,” he said in today’s FIA press conference at Interlagos.
When asked about what engine his team would use in 2016, Tost was unable to give an answer but is confident of a deal being agreed in the near future.
“It’s not decided yet – we will see,” said Tost. “I am convinced, optimistic that this will be the case.”
Red Bull are expected to retain Daniil Kvyat alongside Daniel Ricciardo for next season.
