Formula One is an immense, competitive and demanding sport even in the most perfect of conditions, with the heat of the sun beating down and clear skies, it’s still a commanding challenge to race a Grand Prix car at its peak.
But what about when the clouds gather and there is rain in the air? That challenge of driving a Formula One car sometimes becomes almost impossible, however, history has shown us that despite the conditions no matter how treacherous, there are those who rise above the tides.
Throughout history rain has always often been the great equaliser for everyone, you’ll see some of the best performances from those who thrive under the grey skies, but you’ll also find some who end up floundering and just can’t make it work for them.
But I’ve delved through the history books and found what I feel are five of the best ever performances Formula One has seen in wet conditions.
