Force India’s latest recruit Esteban Ocon says he has a ‘super’ feeling in the new VJM10 and has targeted points at every race ahead of the 2017 season.
The Frenchman moves up from the now defunct Manor team into Force India after just nine grand prix starts, however, this has not taken away any of his confidence.
Speaking in a Q&A on Formula 1’s official website Ocon said: “My personal target would be to score points at every race.
“That would be pretty cool. Melbourne is the place where everybody unleashes his machine, so we will see what the reality check is.
“I have a super feeling about the VJM10. The balance is right and the Mercedes engine is simply the best, also when it comes to reliability. So let’s see if I can trust my feelings.”

Ocon is also fully aware that he will have to be up to speed as quickly as possible with his new team, admitting that being able to deliver what the team have asked of him is crucial for the team’s future.
“I have to deliver straight away,” Ocon added.
“The team wants me to replace Nico (Hulkenberg) – and that includes results.
“So no time to get up to speed – I have to get up to speed straight away.
“Hence the good preparation with the team over the winter. In the end, results translate into more funds – and that means a better, faster car. It is that simple.”
