David Beckmann has left Van Amersfoort Racing after just three rounds.
The agreement for Bechmann and the team to go separate ways was made with “mutual consent”.
Beckmann has failed to score any points so far this season, a disappointing start to 2017 after a strong debut season last year.
He joined the series with joined kfzteile24 Mucke Motorsport midway through 2016. The teenager enjoyed an impressive rookie year, with 11 points finishes and two podiums from 24 races.
The switch to Van Amersfoort for his second season in F3 hasn’t allowed him to build on that success.
The team has wished Beckmann “good luck with his future endeavours”.
There is no news yet of Beckmann’s future plans, or whether Van Amersfoort will replace him in its F3 squad.
